LandLucid

Terms of use (draft)

What LandLucid is. LandLucid assembles public records — Nevada Division of Water Resources (NDWR), county assessor and GIS, FEMA, USFS and other agencies — into a summary of what those records show for a parcel on the date they were pulled.

What it is not. It is not legal advice, a title report, a survey, an appraisal, or a water-rights determination. Language like “records show” means exactly that: a public record says so. Records can be missing, mis-mapped, or out of date, and water rights can be transferred, forfeited, or abandoned without the maps changing.

Verify before you rely on it. Confirm water rights with NDWR (and the Federal Watermaster for Alpine/Orr Ditch decree rights), taxes, ag deferral and zoning with the county assessor and planning office, and ownership and encumbrances with a licensed title company. Consult a water-rights attorney or engineer for any transaction that depends on water.

No warranty. The service is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, LandLucid is not liable for decisions made using its reports.

Fair use. Automated scraping or bulk use is not allowed; searches are rate-limited and logged (time, query, and a one-way hash of your IP address) to prevent abuse and improve the service. Individual search records are kept for 90 days; after that only daily totals (no addresses, parcel numbers or IP hashes) are kept.

Shared reports. To save time, a full report is built once per parcel from public records and reused for anyone who requests that parcel, so a report may have been generated earlier for someone else. Each report shows when its records were pulled; regenerate it for fresh data. A report opens only in a browser that requested it.
